The PMAG 20 AR 300 B GEN M3 is a purpose-built magazine for rifles chambered in .300 Blackout® (300 BLK). It is nearly identical to the PMAG 30 AR 300 B but features a more compact design, improving maneuverability and offering a more discreet option for use in small-format firearms.

Since its introduction, 300 BLK shooters have often had to rely on magazines designed for other calibers, which limited performance and reliability. Although compatibility with 5.56x45 mm magazines was once considered an advantage of the 300 BLK round, in practice, it represents a compromise that can reduce reliability and increase the risk of accidents.

In addition to improved performance, the PMAG 20 AR 300 B offers a safer feeding solution for rifles chambered in 300 BLK. When using 5.56x45 mm magazines, there's a risk of accidentally chambering a 300 BLK round in a 5.56 rifle, which can result in catastrophic failure. To prevent this, the PMAG 20 AR 300 B features a unique ribbed design and a smoother upper surface, providing a visual and tactile distinction from other PMAGs—minimizing the risk of dangerous caliber mix-ups.

The PMAG 20 also incorporates all of the proven GEN M3 features, including an impact- and crush-resistant polymer body, aggressive front and rear texturing, a slim removable floorplate, and a paint pen dot matrix for easy personalization.
