CMM-6 is a high quality modular silencer from the Norwegian company A-TEC, designed for use in small arms and air rifles. The CMM-6 silencer is designed for calibers up to .22.

Unlike the Wave series suppressors, which are cast in one piece, the CMM-6 suppressor is fully modular, which brings many advantages. For example, the modularity of the CMM-6 silencer greatly simplifies the process of cleaning the silencer after firing. In addition, if you would like to achieve a more compact pistol silencer assembly, some of the modules can be removed, reducing the overall length of the silencer.

In many ways, the care of the CMM-6 suppressor is very similar to the care of the barrel and bore of the gun itself. The basics are to prevent corrosion with erosion, rid the silencer of any coarse debris, lubricate the threads, and store it in a dry stable environment, ideally in a position inclined to the ground to allow ambient air to flow through the silencer. Of course, it is advisable to disassemble the silencer as soon as possible after shooting. Also avoid cleaning with e.g. ultrasonic cleaners, as the inside of A-TEC silencers are coated with a special anti-corrosion coating that could be damaged or degraded by this type of cleaning.
