Fomei 8x52 DCF FOREMAN HTC/DEC

The exclusive FOMEI FOREMAN line of hunting binoculars is made using materials of the highest quality. All objective and eyepiece lenses of the binoculars have special HTC (High Transmission Coating) anti-reflective coatings. The prisms are coated with DEC (Dia-Electrical Coating). The combination of HTC/DEC coatings ensures maximum overall transmission of the entire optical system. The binoculars excel in high edge-to-edge image sharpness and maximum overall light transmission. This allows the binoculars to be used even for so-called night vision. Thanks to their excellent light transmission they make use of "residual light" and are therefore also suitable for night-time observation of game, the sky, etc. Where the human eye sees only a black shadow, details are visible when observing through FOMEI FOREMAN binoculars. The body of the binoculars is filled with dry nitrogen, which prevents fogging during sudden temperature changes and also makes them waterproof (WATERPROOF). Thanks to their robust construction, the binoculars also rank among binoculars that can carry the SHOCKPROOF designation (shock resistant). The 52 mm objective lens diameter, combined with the materials and technologies used, offers great optical properties while maintaining low weight and compact dimensions.

HTC and DEC – multicoating - special coatings


Every glass element of the Fomei binoculars' optical system has a special multi-layer coating that ensures perfect light transmission. At the top of the range of coatings are HTC (High Transmission Coating – for lenses) and DEC (Dielectric Coating – for prisms). These coatings provide up to 10% less light reflection on the surface of the glass elements, enabling more than 90% light transmission through the optics of the binoculars. Binoculars with these coatings are suitable for observation in poor light conditions.
