The Geissele Super Duty® MOD1-A is a duty AR-15 with fully ambidextrous controls. A magazine release on the left side sits below the Maritime Bolt Catch, while the right side carries bolt catch and release buttons below the ejection port. Reloads and malfunction drills are faster regardless of which hand you shoot with.
The barrel is cold hammer forged (CHF), chrome lined, HPT and MPI tested. The Geissele Stressproof® bolt is forged from Carpenter 158+ steel. A tuned gas system with the Super Compact Gas Block and the Super 42® braided spring reduces felt recoil. The two-stage SSA-E X® trigger with the wide Lightning Bow® uses Nanoweapon® coated internals. The HUXWRX Flash Hider QD 556 is ready for HUXWRX FLOW suppressors.
The MK16 Super Modular Rail mates to the upper via a center tab, the stock is a B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD and the grip a Geissele A17.
