The Geissele GFR® MOD1 Stratomatch® is the competition version of the GFR (Geissele Freedom Rifle®) line, built for long-range precision shooting. The 6 mm ARC cartridge combines a high ballistic coefficient and flat trajectory with low recoil.
The barrel is 416R stainless steel, cut rifled and machined in-house at Geissele. The bolt carrier group is Nanoweapon® coated with a forged Carpenter 158+ bolt. The Phased Array® gas system significantly reduces recoil and speeds up target reacquisition. The MK18 Super Modular Rail features an integrated RRS ARCA-lok bottom rail.
Controls are fully ambidextrous – both the bolt catch and the magazine release are accessible from either side, speeding up reloads and malfunction drills.
