The M16x1 extended barrel, left-hand threaded gun is exceptional in its accuracy, light recoil and delivers powerful performance with a high capacity magazine.
The 4th generation Glock offers two slide backs on the pistol's stock allowing the shooter to customize the grip to fit his or her hand. The base size S is fixed on the frame and is 2mm smaller than the full size G17/G22. The size M is based on the full size G17/G22 and the size L is an additional 4mm larger. The slope of the handle is retained.
The magazine release is enlarged and ambidextrous - allowing the pistol to be repositioned to the right or left side without additional parts. Additionally, the 4th generation Glock has new fancy frame roughing as well on the interchangeable slide backs.
The Glock 4 Generation has a new double return spring and thicker guide rod, greatly reducing wear and damage to the system.
Glock pistols are equipped with a so-called Safe Action trigger mechanism. Instead of a hammer, they have a partially pre-stretched firing pin that fully retracts when the trigger is pulled. After firing a round, it returns to its original state when the trigger is released.
The Safe Action system includes three independent safeties:
- Trigger - when the trigger is pulled, a lever protruding in front of the trigger is first depressed to prevent inadvertent trigger movement,
- firing pin - a metal spring-loaded roller prevents the firing pin from penetrating the primer until the trigger is pulled,
- drop - the firing pin is held in place until the trigger is fully depressed.
Glocks do not have an external (manual) safety.
