The Geissele Super Duty® MOD1 in the Heavy Barrel configuration is built for longer strings of fire at a higher rate – the heavier barrel profile handles heat better and holds accuracy over higher round counts.
The barrel is cold hammer forged (CHF), chrome lined, HPT and MPI tested. The Geissele Stressproof® bolt is forged from Carpenter 158+ steel. A balanced gas system with the Super Compact Gas Block (.750 gas journal) and the Super 42® braided spring keeps the action smooth. The two-stage SSA-E X® trigger with the wide Lightning Bow® is complemented by the ambidextrous Super Configurable Safety, the Airborne Charging Handle (ACH®) and a Maritime Bolt Catch.
The lower receiver is a Super Duty Mil-Spec. The MK16 Super Modular Rail mates to the upper via a center tab, the stock is a B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD and the grip a Geissele A17.
