The G47 MOS with its no-compromise design, combines all the features demanded of the modern handgun of today – and of tomorrow! This standard size pistol combines a GLOCK 17 Gen5 MOS slide with a G45 frame.
The slide has the proven, superior GLOCK nDLC finish. The frame with a flared magazine well completely encircles the front of the grip. Fast reloads in critical situations can be performed with speed and efficiency. Additionally, there are forward serrations precision-milled near the front, forward of the ejection port on both sides.
Customizable frame size
Each GLOCK Gen5 comes with two sizes of beavertail backstraps. The backstrap frame allows users to adjust the grip circumference to fit their individual hand size.
Enlarged floor plate
The front of the floor plate has been enlarged to facilitate easier removal of the magazine from the pistol, especially in cases of malfunction or reload.
Front serrations
Front serrations (FS) have been added to provide a different look and an additional tactile surface.
Gen4 Rough textured frame
The Gen4 proven rough textured frame (Gen4 RTF) surface is also present on the Gen5 frame. It was designed to enhance grip traction without being too aggressive.
GLOCK Marksman barrel
The GLOCK Marksman barrel (GMB) features enhanced barrel rifling based on the proven polygonal barrel design, resulting in improved accuracy.
Loaded chamber indicator
A visible and palpable indicator is incorporated into the extractor to show whether there is a cartridge in the chamber.
Reversible magazine catch
The magazine catch of the Gen5 frame is reversible and enlarged towards the rear of the pistol. This reversible magazine catch offers improved user-friendliness and allows the shooter to switch the catch to the left or right side of the pistol.
Flared magwell
The flared magwell facilitates faster speedloading by providing a larger opening to funnel the magazine into the magwell. This is particularly useful in high-stress situations where saving fractions of a second matters.
Mounting rail
A mounting rail is located in front of the trigger guard of all competition, standard, and compact frames, allowing accessories such as tactical lights and lasers to be mounted.
nDLC coating
The nDLC finish provided by GLOCK offers tougher and more durable protection than previously used finishes. It increases resistance against corrosion and scratching, enhancing the pistol's ability to function in adverse conditions.
Orange magazine follower
The orange follower provides a safety advantage by allowing the shooter to clearly see if there are any rounds left in the magazine.
Polymer frame (Symbolic Image)
The durable and lightweight polymer frame absorbs recoil due to its dampening characteristics.
