6,5 PRC Hornady ELD-X 143gr

Hornady 6.5 PRC ELD-X Precision Hunter 143 gr is a hunting cartridge from the Precision Hunter® line, loaded with the ELD-X® (Extremely Low Drag – eXpanding) bullet. According to the manufacturer, accuracy and terminal performance are the cornerstones of this line – the loads allow the ELD-X bullet to reach its full ballistic potential at conventional and extended hunting ranges. According to the manufacturer, the 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) was designed for high accuracy, flat trajectory and extended-range performance with minimal recoil.

Key features

• ELD-X® bullet with Heat Shield® tip that retains its shape and therefore its ballistic coefficient throughout the flight
• high ballistic coefficients verified by Doppler radar
• secant ogive, optimised boattail and highly concentric AMP® jackets
• at conventional ranges (up to approx. 365 m / 400 yd) controlled expansion with 50–60% weight retention
• at extended ranges (beyond 365 m / 400 yd) expansion initiated by the Heat Shield® tip, 85–90% weight retention
• clean-burning propellant loaded to uniform capacity for consistent results regardless of temperature
