The Akdaş SA-9 is a light and ergonomic AR-platform semi-automatic firearm in 9×19 mm. It runs on a blowback, closed-bolt system for smoother operation and more accurate shooting. The barrel is 4140 steel with a hard Melonite finish, the receivers are 7075-T6 aluminium alloy.
There is a Picatinny rail on top, while the sides and bottom of the handguard use M-LOK – so a red dot, light, grip or other accessories mount without trouble. The fire selector is ambidextrous and the firearm is secured by a trigger block and a firing pin safety. The 1/2-28 TPI three-lug muzzle accepts a flash hider or a suppressor.
This configuration comes without a stock. Thanks to the overhead spring system the firearm is ready to have a folding or telescopic stock fitted later.
