.243 Win. Hornady ELD-X 90gr/5,8g

Hornady .243 Win ELD-X Precision Hunter 90 gr is a hunting cartridge from the Precision Hunter® line, loaded with the ELD-X® (Extremely Low Drag – eXpanding) bullet. According to the manufacturer, accuracy and terminal performance are the cornerstones of this line – the loads allow the ELD-X bullet to reach its full ballistic potential at conventional and extended hunting ranges.

Key features

• ELD-X® bullet with Heat Shield® tip that retains its shape and therefore its ballistic coefficient throughout the flight
• high ballistic coefficients verified by Doppler radar
• secant ogive, optimised boattail and highly concentric AMP® jackets
• at conventional ranges (up to approx. 365 m / 400 yd) controlled expansion with 50–60% weight retention
• at extended ranges (beyond 365 m / 400 yd) expansion initiated by the Heat Shield® tip, 85–90% weight retention
• clean-burning propellant loaded to uniform capacity for consistent results regardless of temperature
